Detailed Itinerary of Mardi Himal Trek

Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu

On your arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport, you will be received by our pleasant consultant, who will drop you off at your hotel in the Thamel district. After getting comfortable, you can begin with an off-foot excursion in Thamel, exploring its busy markets and coming across unique stores. Thamel is known for its shops and avenue carriers, who provide everything from trekking equipment to handicraft miniatures, rings, electronics, and plenty more Apart from shops, Thamel offers a wide variety of restaurants that cater to quite a few tastes. You will have a welcome dinner at night along with our representative, who will brief you regarding the tour. The next morning you can either take a flight to Pokhara or go via bus.

Note: Do not forget to pack light for the trek and use comfortable hiking shoes. You will also need to carry some essential items with you like water, snacks, sunscreen, and a hat.
The next day will also continue to climb to Australian Camp, gaining altitude while being pleased with the outstanding views of the Annapurna range.

Day 2: Pokhara to Pitam Deurali

Early morning, after breakfast, pickup from the hotel in Pokhara, our vehicle will drive us to Kande, which is the starting point of the trek. It takes about an hour to reach there; beautiful views of the Pokhara valley and the hills that surround the valley will capture your heart.

You will have lunch at Kande, and then the path goes upward and then flattens along the terraced fields and green forests. We will Trek to Pitam Deurali there you will have tiny villages and people going about their daily work. It usually takes 3-4 hours to complete, and you’ll enjoy the scenery of the Annapurna view. Pitam Deurali is a small village that offers basic accommodation. You will overnight stay at this place where you get acclimatized to the altitude for the next day’s trek.

Day 3: Pitam Deurali to Low Camp

You will continue to climb towards Low Camp with a further increase in altitude, with brilliant sunshine over the view of the Annapurna range.
You will have a good breakfast at the lodge in Pitam Deurali and then depart for Low Camp. This morning’s path heads up gradually via rhododendron forest and terraced farmland. After approximately 4 hours of walking, you will reach a camp that is called Forest Camp. It is an ideal place to have lunch and rest awhile before the upward climb.
From Forest Camp, you follow a steepening gradient as altitude increases. You will now leave behind the treeline and climb into more alpine country. The views of Annapurna South and surrounding peaks grow impressively large. After an unsettling climb, you will reach Low Camp, which offers breathtaking panoramas to the Annapurna range. The camp is rather unsatisfactory, but the view from this point is superb, making up for this fact.
Stay overnight in Low Camp to acclimatize and rest up for the next stage of your trek. Next day, you will continue upwards to High Camp, closer to the heart of Mardi Himal.
Remember to keep a slow and steady pace, giving your body time to acclimate to the increasing altitude.

Day 4: Low Camp to High Camp

Fantastic views of the Machhapuchhre and Annapurna South are visible as you continue upwards towards High Camp. The higher you go in altitude, the steeper the trail, but the rewards are immense. You will have a nutritious breakfast at Low Camp before leaving for the final push towards High Camp. You will wind up your way through rhododendron forests with stunning views of the surrounding mountains. The higher up one goes, the more alpine with rocks and fewer trees it gets. The last push to High Camp is demanding but worth the effort.
At camp, you are met with a panorama view over Machhapuchhre and Annapurna South. Spend the night at High Camp for altitude acclimatization and set yourself up for an early morning attempt on Mardi Himal Base Camp. Simple accommodation makes up for great views and excitement of being so close to mountain peaks.

Next comes the highlight of your trek—trying to climb Mardi Himal Base Camp. Take good rest and stay hydrated for the challenge ahead.

Day 5: Summit Day – Mardi Himal Base Camp
The climax of your trek is likely to be today as you scale the summit of Mardi Himal Base Camp in awe of the views of the Annapurna range.
After a good breakfast, start the steep, demanding trek to Mardi Himal Base Camp. This day will be quite difficult due to the unrelenting uphill trail on a steep path, as there are some bare areas where fitness and acclimatization is important. The views of Machhapuchhre (Fishtail Mountain) and Annapurna South are becoming more spectacular each day. All in all, the final destination of Mardi Himal Base Camp rewards itself with the panoramic view of the Annapurna massif at its best. Spend moments there clicking some unforgettable pictures.
You should start to walk down towards High Camp. The going is certainly easier on the return leg and we will see the views already familiar in new lights.
Spending another night at Low Camp allows your body to rest and recuperate from the summit attempt.

Note: Summiting Mardi Himal Base Camp is all about weather, your body, and acclimatization. It’s a must to heed your body and take advice from your guide. It’s good to return to your early point and acclimatize for the complete day if weather is poor or you are unwell. You will now trek downhill to Forest Camp in the morning to return from here back to Pokhara.
Remember to keep hydrated, protect yourself from the sun, and listen to your body all day.

Day 6: Descent to Sidding and Drive Back to Pokhara

Today will be the day to come back from the mountains to Pokhara.
With breakfast, you will descend from Low Camp today and head on a 5-hour walk downhill to Sidding. The trail drops through a varied landscape with the breathtaking mountain view of the Annapurna range right in front of your eyes while walking. You pass through some village and terraced farmlands with a closer view of life. After having breakfast, you will be received at the inn by the vehicle for the transport back to Pokhara to reach Sidding. This drive is around 2-3 hours. It’s the best time to relax your tired trekking self and rejuvenate your inner self with the memories of the Mardi Himal trek.

By late afternoon, you shall reach Pokhara, concluding your walkthrough adventure. The time thereafter is leisurely spent strolling around the city to revere the different attractions of the place, savoring typical food, or just relaxing in your hotel. After that you will leave Pokhara with such unforgettable memories of the Mardi Himal trek. Spend one last night in Nepal!

Day 7: Departure
On the day of your return to your country, after your wonderful time in Nepal, we will pick you up from your hotel in a private vehicle and transfer you to the Tribhuvan International Airport. We hope you had a great time in Nepal and will come back to explore more.
